Here’s What’s New
Be in the Know!
In its 4th year, "Black Futures" is more than an event; it's a movement. On February 2nd, 2024 Black history month was celebrated while dynamically propelling Black teens into a future brimming with possibilities. Black Futures provided Black teens the opportunity to dive into a world of career exploration, guided by successful black professionals from diverse fields, as well as local corporate giants like Tri Health, Children’s Hospital, and Metro.

In an engaging and inspiring format, over 300 students from grades 9 to 12 interacted with 80 top Black professionals. The encounters went beyond career advice; they were heartfelt narratives of struggle, learning, and the vast interpretations of the word success.

THE BLACK MAN THINK TANK RE-IMAGINED
The original Think Tank existed from 1983 to 1999, and brought together an international array of authors, journalists, political leaders, activists, and students to examine societal challenges affecting African Americans with a goal of bringing about change to help young, black men beat the odds.
Our reimagined version of the Think Tank will start with an activation dedicated to addressing the specific health and societal challenges that Black men face, focusing on mental and physical health, financial well-being, and relationships. We are leveraging the energy and attendance of African Americans during Cincinnati Music Fest weekend to draw attention to these critical, life changing conversations.
