At The DAD Initiative, we believe in nurturing the full potential of our youth. Our enriching programs are thoughtfully designed to inspire and engage young minds in the exciting realms of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). We offer a diverse range of activities that spark curiosity and foster a love for learning, all while addressing the crucial aspect of mental health.

Youth & Community Programs
We are committed to creating a brighter future for our youth and the wider community. Our Black Futures program offers an exceptional platform where young people connect with accomplished professionals, gaining invaluable insights into various career paths and life experiences.

Our Black Futures Brunch is a unique gathering that nurtures social and emotional well-being. It's an event where mentoring and communal support blend seamlessly, empowering participants through shared experiences and guidance.

Additionally, the Black Man Think Tank stands as a cornerstone of our commitment to holistic health and wellbeing, particularly for Black men in our community. This program is dedicated to exploring and addressing the multifaceted aspects of health — physical, mental, and emotional — in a supportive, inclusive space. Through these programs, we aim to foster a sense of belonging, resilience, and empowerment among our youth and community members, paving the way for a future filled with opportunity, understanding, and unity."
Workforce Development
We are dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's workforce. Our Construction Training Program, a dynamic collaboration with RWB Construction, a respected Black-owned company in Cincinnati, OH, offers a comprehensive 13-week course designed to lay a strong foundation in the construction industry. Participants learn about construction safety, power tool usage, lift operation, and basic carpentry skills. But we don't stop there — our program goes beyond technical training. We emphasize the development of critical soft skills, essential for gaining and maintaining employment and for thriving both socially and financially.
Further expanding our commitment to career development, our Black Futures Career Camp bridges the gap between learning and real-world application. This program focuses on soft skills training, crucial for professional growth, and provides experiential learning opportunities through our partnerships with some of the region's top employers. This immersive experience not only prepares participants for the workforce but also connects them with potential career paths, fostering both personal and professional development. Together, these programs represent our dedication to nurturing talent and creating opportunities for lasting success in our community."
